Oily Skin Herbal Care


Oily skin:
Combine 1 beaten egg white, 10-15 drops of spirit of camphor and juice of 1 slice of lemon. Using a cotton swab spread mix evenly over the face. Wash it off after 10-15 min.

Rub oily skin with sauerkraut juice. Leave on for 10-15 min before washing off.

Steam facial mask-in a bowl, filled with boiling water, add handful of Calendula or sage. Keep your face over the bowl for 5-7 min. This mask possesses strong cleaning and healing powers.

Place thin layer of sauerkraut over the face and cover with a cloth. Leave it on for 25-30 min. Wash off with lukewarm water, pat skin dry and apply your favorite facial cream. This remedy makes oily skin soft and replenished.

Place handful of linden flowers in 1 cup of boiling water, cover and steep for 15 min. Add ¼ tsp of honey, mix and liberally spread over clean face and neck. Keep it on for 3-5 min. Use the rest of the mix in the morning. This procedure can be repeated every evening.

Combine 1 unpeeled, finely chopped orange and ½ cup of vodka, let stand for 5-7 days in dark place, filter and add 1 tsp of glycerin. Mix well and use every evening to wipe your face.

Combine 1 tbsp of horsetail grass, 1 tbsp of linden flowers and 1 tbsp of yarrow grass. Add 2-3 cups of boiling water and divide everything in half. One half of liquid should be 35-36° C and the other half-24-25° C. Use both halves in rotation to wash your face. Start with hot liquid and end with the cool one. Do it 2-3 times. Repeat the procedure twice a week. This remedy not only refreshes oily skin but also rejuvenates it because of the difference in temperature.

2 tbsp of wormwood grass put in 1 cup of water, bring to a boil and boil at low heat for 5-10 min. Filter when cooled down and use as a face wash in the morning.

Mix 30 g of mashed aloe leaves with ¾ cup of water, let stand for 1 hour, filter and use to wipe your face. One more remedy with the healing powers.

Nourishing mask for oily skin: Combine 1 tbsp of sour cream, 1 tbsp of plane cottage cheese and 1tsp of sea salt, mix well and smear over a face. Leave mask on for 15-20 min and wash off firs with warm then with cold water.

Tonic: 2 tbsp of dry calendula flowers and 2 tbsp of hazel nut put in 570 g of water and boil for 5 min at low heat. Let cool down, filter and keep in cool place.
