herbal relieve for dry skin


Dry-skin:

Smear whole-egg mayonnaise on your face and leave for 20 min. Wipe it off and rinse with cool water.

Put 1 tbsp of dry chamomile flowers in 175 ml of boiling water, steep for 30 min and filter. Combine 3 tbsp of infusion with 2 tbsp of bran and 1 tsp of warmed up honey. Mix well and smear over the face, keep for 10 min and wash off with warm water.

Combine 1 raw egg yolk with 1 tbsp of honey. Apply to the face for 10-15 min. Wash off with warm water. This mask can be used every morning to soften dry-skin. Mix together 100 g of honey and juice from 1 lemon. Spread thin layer of mix over the face and keep for 5-10 min. Wash off with cold water.

Combine 2 tbsp of each: chamomile flowers, sage, linden flowers and horsetail grass. Add all mix to 2 cups of hot water, bring to a boil and boil for 5-10 min. Filter, when cools down, and use to wash your face instead of water.

Wash dry-skin with cold extracts of chamomile flowers, linden flowers, birch leaves or peppermint (any of them).

Mix 1 egg yolk with small amount of crushed lemon peel and leave, covered, for 10-15 min. Add 2 tsp of soy, olive or almond oil, mix well and apply to a face. Leave the mask on for 10-15 min, covering it with the cloth, moistened in parsley extract, for the best result. (Place chopped parsley in 1 cup of boiling water, steep and filter). Wonderfully rejuvenates dry-skin.

Combine: chamomile flowers, peppermint grass and plantain leaves-1 tsp of each. Put in 1 cup of boiling water and steep for 30-40 min. Filter and add 1 tsp of potato starch. Mix well and apply to a face. Leave the mask on for 30 min and wash off with cold water.

Combine 1 ripe mashed banana, cream and potato flour till thick as sour cream. Cover your face with facial cream and then apply a thin layer of the banana mask. Wait till it dries up a little and apply one more layer. Cover your face with cheesecloth and keep the mask on for 30-40 min. Wash off with warm water. Do it 10 times every other day. The procedure can be repeated after 1-2 months.

Nourishing mask: Combine 1 egg yolk and crushed lemon peel. Let stand, tightly covered, for10-15 min. Before applying to the face add ½ tsp of soy, olive or almond oil and mix well.

Exfoliating mixture-combine ¼ tsp of salt with 1 tsp of petroleum jelly. Gently rub over your face and wash off with warm water.

Peeling dry-skin: 1 tsp of flax seeds put in 1cup of cold water, bring to a boil and let cool down a bit. Use warm liquid to wash your face.

Use wheat, oats, rice or almond bran instead of soap. Wash your face with cool water, take handful of bran and moisten it with warm water. Rub developed paste gently over your face. Leave on for 5-10 min.

Stressed skin: 10 g of crushed elecampane root place in ½ cup of water and boil for 30 min, filter and use for compresses.

Cleansers: for dry-skin. Mix well 1 egg yolk with ½ cup of sour cream, add ¼ cup of vodka and juice of ½ lemon. Apply to the face and leave on for few minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. This remedy cleans, nourishes and whitens skin.

Couple of pieces of stale black bread put in small amount of boiling water and wait till cools down. Wash your face with the developed substance. Let it dry up a little on your face and then wash off first with warm then cold water.

Combine ½ cup of oatmeal with 1 tsp of baking soda, add plain yogurt, mix well and smear over the face and neck. Massage for few minutes and wash off with warm water.

Boil 200 g of parsley in ½ L of water. Filter and keep in fridge. Use for rinsing.

Tonics for dry-skin:

Mix together equal parts of peppermint leaves, chamomile flowers, mountain ash leaves and berries and peel of ½ of lemon. Boil ½ cup of the mix in 3 cups of water at low heat for 30 min. Steep for 10 min, filter and add 2 tbsp of glycerin.

Add 2 tbsp of dry peppermint leaves to ½ L of boiling water and boil at low heat for 25-30 min. Filter and add 2 tbsp of calendula, 1 tsp of lemon juice or 1 tsp of white vinegar.
