Cataract

Cataract is an eye disease which is characterized by the clouding of the lens of the eye. The main symptom of the disorder is painless blurring of vision, mostly occurring in only one eye. As the condition progresses, the lens becomes milky white and vision worsens.

The exact cause of the disease is unknown. Basically cataract occurs as a result of aging process. However, there may also be other reasons for developing it, such as a poor nourishment of an eye, weak immunity, and influence of sun beams.

There are some known cases when the cataract been developed as a result of a heavy physical activity. The diabetes can also be a cause of a cataract.
